I wanted to tell you all about a really great book I read. It's called How To Get a Date Worth Keeping
by Henry Cloud. It was an excellent single/Christian book. The website is here
. I highly recommend it.

New Community-- Prayer For India!
Greetings one and all,
This community is being established for those who desire to pray for
India, have a heart for India, who are Indian (living anywhere), are
missionaries in India, or just want to check out what God is doing in
that large region.
The purpose of this community will be cultural exchange between regions
of India (anything from Divali to Desi food recipes to
religious/cultural study to Bollywood), understanding, keeping up with
news and needs of India, and correspondences between all affiliated
with India in some way.
I look forwards to seeing what God will accomplish as we all gather together with one purpose.
--- all welcome to join ---
++will be cross-posted++

Hello everyone. I created a website and one of the features it has is personal ads. Besides being free, it has cool features that a lot of other websites don't have like filtering by personality and customizable surveys you can use to force people responding to your ad to give complete responses. Also for the women there is a limit to the number of ads you can respond to per day to prevent those guys spamming a preconcieved response to every female on the site. Anyways, I put a decent amount of time into the site and it really sucks that nobody is using it. I think if it got some initial users than other people who visit would be more willing to post personals themselves. So this is my pathetic plea for people to start using site, The Atomic Den
. It would mean a lot if I could get a decent base of people using it, and I think you guys will like the functionality. If this post is too spammy for this community let me know.

Did all of you have great summers? Anyone here serve the Lord in any way? I'd love it if you shared your summer stories and experiences. I worked at a camp in Western New York as the horsemanship director. It was awesome! 17 kids came to know the Lord!! Praise Him for that!!
I'm Sorry its been a while since I last posted. Its hard for me to come here and read my friends journals, especially friends who claim to be Christians (i'm not referring to any of you) but are clearly living a life according to their flesh. My one really good friend (we are not as close as we once were) who is gay yet claimed to hate the gay lifestyle, is once again searching for a boyfriend. He parties every night, drinks, smokes. Not living for Jesus. His brother, who also claims he is a Christian, feels like his life is empy and useless. I really don't know what to say to them. I've said stuff in the past yet it has done nothing. I pray about it on occassion but sometimes I feel as if my prayers are falling on deaf ear (yet I know they aren't because Scripture tells me they aren't). I hurt for others and I want the best for my friends but they don't care about themselves. Please just pray for them. I'd appreciate it so much.

What do you think about Christian personals?
|Sunday, January 30th, 2005|
What do you think?
Ok so here it is.
The post you have all been waiting for, and can't wait to respond to.
My question is this:
What are your feelings about dating?
What are your feelings about dating in relation to being a Christian?
How do you feel about waiting for "the right one"?

Ok so what would make you come here?
Tell me what to post, and I will do it.
What kind of exchanges or posts would make you want to participate more in this community?
Please answer. Anyone...everyone. Current Mood: excited

I will not let this die!
Ok, ok, come on people.
I will not let this community die.
My computer was out of commission for a while.
But I am back.
And I want this community to be hopping.
So, I've checked out every single person who belongs to or watches this community.
I know there are some of you who are...missing in action. But there are some of you who are very alive!
So I want you to respond.
I want to know something.
I want to know what makes you tick. Tell me one thing about yourself.

Ok so I am alive. It's good to see everyone else is. I'd really like to liven up this community. Does anyone have any ideas?
Well until I can think of something really brilliant (or someone supplies me with something brilliant) I am going to post a blurb of something or other.
Recently I was rereading the book, Not Even A Hint
by Joshua Harris. I found a section that stood out. It reads:My bigger outbreaks of sin are usually triggered by smaller sins that I wasn't diligent in guarding against.
He later writes:Keep as far as you can from those temptations that feed and strengthen the sins which you would overcome. Lay siege to your sins and starve them out, by keeping away the food and fuel which is their maintenance and life
This really spoke volumes to me, especially in my single life. I saw how easily I was tempted by "bigger" things as I "watered down" smaller sins.
What do you think?
